Review: Ology Body Wash and Milk & Honey Body Lotion
Not much to say about these products, and I have since returned them.
The body wash did not have a lather at all, and was not moisturizing. It smelled wonderful in the bottle, like almonds & honey (my favorite sent). However this smell went away as I was actually using it in the shower.
And the moisturizer also had a nice sweet smell, but was tacky & sticky on my skin for much longer that I would like and was not moisturizing at all ):

Review: Milani Even-Touch Powder Foundation in 01 Shell

I have been using my MAC Studio Fix Plus Powder Foundation and have been loving it! So when I saw this Milani Powder Foundation at Fred Meyer, I had high hopes that maybe this would be a good, much cheaper substitute.

One thing that sucks about this product is the shade selection. All the stores I’ve seen that have this foundation only have 4 shades! Since I am fair skinned, I grabbed the lightest shade, Shell. Which is a bit yellow for my skin tone, but I still really wanted to try it out.

I apply this with my Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki as a setting powder. I use patting motions, I do not buff it in with swirling motions as this just smears liquid foundation  around and uncovers blemishes. I love the smooth finish this gives and it gives very good additional coverage. And for the areas that need even more coverage (over blemishes) I apply more with a powder puff, which gives more coverage than applying with a brush.

This product did a decent job not breaking down with my oily skin except around my nose, which is ALWAYS my problem area. It didn’t really control my oils, and I did need a few minor touch ups. But that didn’t bug me too much, because NOTHING can control my oil haha(:

The only reason I won’t be replacing my MAC Studio Fix Plus with this Milani Powder Foundation is because it simply doesn’t match my skin tone as well.

Review: Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray - Oil Control
I actually don’t have too much to say about this product.
I spray this onto my face after my moisturizer but before foundation, and then again after I’ve applied foundation but before my face powder. And it does a good job at absorbing my oils once it’s dried. However, it doesn’t provide oil control for my face the whole day. In fact, my skin still gets oily after a few hours.
Good spray, but for $30 I would expect something much more effective.
I have since given up on trying to find makeup products & setting sprays to control my oil and am changing up my skin care routine to try and actually balance my skins oil production. So I will not be repurchasing ):
Hope this review was helpful!

Review: Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer, Fair to Medium Skin Tones (Revitalizing Formula)

Before trying this product, I had never used any kind of self tanner before!. I had always found them pretty intimidating, the thought of screwing up sounded traumatizing. However, with the weather getting much nicer here in the northwest, & wanting to start wearing shorts without blinding people with my creamy pale legs, I thought I’d do some research on self tanners & find one that was best for me. This Jergens self tanner got such great reviews, I thought I’d give this one a go for my first time.

Oh boy, where do I start with this product…

I’ll start by saying this is a gradual tanner that you use daily as a ‘moisturizer’ & it’s supposed to gradually tan your body, giving you the maximum tan for your skin tone in a week.

Because this is a gradual self tanning moisturizer, there is no tint to it so you really can’t tell where you’re applying it. This made it pretty impossible to make sure my ‘tan’ was even. And with it taking so long to develop any color, it also makes it almost impossible to correct your mistakes. >.<

I used this tanner every night for 3 days and finally started to see some color, but it wasn’t really a tan, just a tinted ‘glow’. So not really what I was going for, but the packaging also says that you can achieve a darker tan the more frequently you apply. So I decided instead of just using it at night, I would use it morning AND night to get the darker tan that I was craving.

Very bad decision. This tanner is not moisturizing at all. I did get a darker tan, and this was about the time I took the above photos. However, this product dried my legs out horribly, & I do not normally have dry skin at all. And because it was drying my skin out so badly, it was causing the color to just peel off in spots! Making my skin look spotty & blotchy :/ This didn’t happen when I was using it only once a day, but using it that sparingly barely gave me any color. And the color it did give me was very yellow and sick looking, so even with the slight tan glow it gave me, I was still too embarrassed to wear shorts ):

I have since started using a more traditional self tanner, & I won’t ever go back to any type of gradual tanner, & wouldn’t recommend this product!.
